Behind the Scenes
Filming for “Snow White and the Huntsman” took place in the United Kingdom in late 2011, with locations including Marloes Sands beach in Pembrokeshire and London, England. A CGI castle was added to the nearby Gateholm island, and a special wooden ramp was built to allow access to the beach for horses and trucks. Charlize Theron’s portrayal of Queen Ravenna even inspired the song “Breath of Life” by English band Florence and the Machine, which was created specifically for the film.
