Ever since we got to see that strange new lightsaber wielded by Kylo Ren a few years ago in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, people have been doing their best to come up with products that are made to mirror that glowing red saber and some of them have been quite interesting. While not all of them are standard when it comes to the shape and form they all have something to do with the saber and manage to display it in a way that’s both whimsical and in some cases even fitting.

So this one is a gimmee obviously since kids have been trying to get their hands on this lightsaber ever since seeing the trailers for the movie. Kylo Ren’s lightsaber is not like others as his crystal is so unstable that he needed extra vents to shunt the excess energy away from the housing so it wouldn’t explode in his hand. It gives a very unconventional style to the saber and you can imagine that Kylo had to become very proficient so as not to slice off his hand every time he used his weapon.

This is kind of another obvious representation as lightsabers on a keychain is nothing new. But it’s still a different look that can be said to be something kind of cool and show the love that a person might have for the new Star Wars. A lot of people tend to customize their keychains and this is just one item that a person can put on their chain from Star Wars. It might show that they’re more prone to cheering for the dark side than anything.

It’s almost like a glorified night light really that can be set on a counter, desk, dresser, or anything with a level surface so as to light up a kids room at night. The blood red of the original saber can be customized to emit a different light however if the kid so wishes it but a lot of kids would no doubt rather keep the saber the way it was in the movies.

This is actually kind of amusing really since each chopstick is a little lightsaber and they can be manipulated just as easily as a regular pair. The cross guards might actually help some beginners with handling their sticks for the first time, but the whimsical nature of it is just too much to pass up on. As products go it’s not one of the cheapest but the set is something that might brighten up a Star Wars fan’s day.

So yes, there’s no way to handle the saber on this pair of shorts, but we won’t go into innuendo save to say that the lightsaber is positioned in a very amusing way that seems a bit suggestive if you really think about it. Still, the print is awesome and the shorts no doubt feel very soft and comfy.
There’s almost nothing that can’t be used as a selling item for Star Wars.
